Abstract

The term "Maqam" is derived from the Arabic word, which means “Place”, “Grade”, “Status”. Music refers to the place where the sound is made, that is “Curtain”, as well as the association of sounds, i.e. "Tuzuk" ("Lad"), and a specific genre and its patterns.
