Abstract

The researchers conducted this study to find the solution to improving the development of roots in marcotted lemon from the parent stock. The study was conducted at the School of Agriculture in the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Bacolod City, from July 14 to July 26, 2021. The study was laid out in Complete Randomized Design (CRD). It consisted of four (4) treatments with three (3) replications. The treatments were as follows: T1 - Control; T2 - 1 tablespoon of root solutions diluted to 1 liter of water; T3 - 2 tablespoons of root enhancer solutions diluted to 1 liter of water and T4 - 3 tablespoons of root solution diluted to 1 liter of water. Data gathered were computed and were subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) in CRD using the STAR 2.0.1, and Least Significant Difference (LSD) was used to determine significant differences among treatments. Statistical analysis revealed that applying different root enhancer solutions significantly influenced the root numbers and length of marcotted lemon after the 5th and 10th days of the marcotting process. Three tablespoons of root enhancer solution obtained the most numbered and longest roots of marcotted lemon.
