Abstract

Background: Obesity is a rapidly increasing condition that has been categorised as an epidemic in recent decades. Most patients experience a decline in their body image and self-esteem, resulting in adverse effects on their physical and emotional well-being. Consequently, they become more inclined to seek laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy surgery as cosmetic surgery. Objective: The current study aimed to assess psychological aspects and body image satisfaction level outcomes after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy surgery.
