Relevance. Serious medical and social consequences of inflammatory periodontal diseases and the absence of noticeable positive changes in their mass prevention determine the need to deepen and concretize ideas about the etiology and pathogenesis of these diseases (Tsepov L.M. Nikolaev A.I., Mikheeva E.A. et al., 2004). To date, a number of somatic diseases are known, which, as a rule, have characteristic manifestations on the oral mucosa (pneumoniosis, bronchial asthma, GERD, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, etc.)
