Abstract

This article discusses the fact that the development of the science of psychology includes a number of stages and that effective research work was carried out during these periods. At the same time, the article presents analytical opinions about the researches and specific philosophical-psychological views of representatives of the American school of psychology. In addition, at the beginning of the 20th century, behaviorism, the Chicago school, empirical psychology, intellectual psychology, voluntarist psychology trends appeared and their main content was discussed.
